Unsolved How do I use chat (Cannot login)

Want to use liquid bounce chat but the client states that I was not logged in. Tried login in with my Minecraft account details but was told that the credentials were invalid. On the forums, I saw that players who have migrated their mojang account to a microsoft account won't be able to login is that true? If so, how can I login?
